• What are Neuromodulators?

  • Neuromodulators are made of naturally occurring proteins and sugars. It alters one specific protein that prevents acetylcholine from sending the signal to move the muscle.

• How are wrinkles formed?

  • Most wrinkles are created by facial muscles. Small amounts of neuromodulators can create lift, smooth skin and prevent wrinkles forever.

  • Expert injectors at Contour Collection have been extensively trained on how to manipulate facial muscles in the most aesthetically pleasing and anti-aging way.

• How much does Neurotoxin cost?

  • Botox is $14/unit and Dysport is $4.50/unit. The average treatment cost of both Dysport and Botox is about $350- $600.

• What is the difference between Botox & Dysport?

  • Botox and Dysport are two brands of neuromodulators. Both are derived from botulinum toxin but have slightly different compositions, unit size and activation timeline. They both work the same way by relaxing the muscles beneath to smooth the skin above.

  • You will want to avoid dysport if you have an allergy to lactose or milk which is not the case for Botox. This is due to their slight variations in composition.

  • Dysport has much smaller units. So while it looks to be a third of the cost, treatments require about 3x the amount of units for the same effectiveness as Botox Cosmetic.

  • Dysport usually takes effect quicker; results activated in just a couple of days. Botox takes 1 week-3 weeks to fully settle. Both treatments are approved to last for 3-6 months.

  • The average treatment cost of both Dysport and Botox is about $350 - $600, which would include the forehead, furrow, and crows feet.

• What are “units” and how many do I need?

  • The Dysport "unit" is a smaller molecule than the Botox "unit". The amount of units you “need” is completely customizable and depends on many factors. The biggest factor is how many treatment areas you wish to treat. From there, the factors range from the natural size of the muscle we are treating, age of client, severity of condition and goals of treatment.

• Schedule your appointment at least two weeks before your results are desired.

• 3 days before your appointment: Take Arnica tablets to help reduce bruising.

• 2 days prior to your appointment: Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs (like ibuprofen, Aleve, aspirin, Motrin), and blood thinners to minimize bruising.

• Day of your appointment:

  • Recommended to eat a snack before your appointment.

  • Feel free to come as you are—whether you're coming from work with makeup, after a workout, or just waking up. We’ll prep your skin during the procedure.

• For 4 hours:

  • Do not lie flat, avoid putting any pressure on the face

  • No facials, massages, wearing hats or helmets, or falling asleep on the face

  • Avoid exercise, alcohol, NSAIDs/blood thinners

  • Keep the area clean: no touching, massaging or wearing makeup

There is no "downtime" after a neurotoxin appointment - feel free to head back to work, happy hour or dinner with friends immediately after your appointment.

At Contour Collection, our approach to pricing is thoughtfully tailored to align with your unique aesthetic goals. To ensure optimal results, we offer complimentary touch-ups at the two-week mark, provided you’ve followed our provider’s recommended clinical dosage. Please note that should you choose to reduce the recommended units, touch-ups may incur a $14/unit fee.

• Botox and Dysport are $14/unit

  • If you receive fewer than 14 units of Botox, a flat fee of $200 will apply.

• Dysport is $4.50/unit

  • If you receive fewer than 44 units of Dysport, a flat fee of $200 will apply.

    • Please note that this is the same price as Botox, as you need 3 times the amount of Dysport units to equate to a Botox unit
