Originally from Syracuse, New York, Katie Averson moved to Colorado in 2008 to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder before pursuing nursing at Denver College of Nursing and later earning her Master’s in Nursing from Regis University. Before co-founding Contour Collection, Katie spent years working as a Registered Nurse in intensive care, urgent care, chemotherapy infusion and aesthetics before becoming a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and Clinic Manager practicing primary care medicine. Her background across both medicine and aesthetics shaped the highly thoughtful, evidence-based approach she is known for today — blending advanced clinical knowledge with refined, natural artistry.

Katie’s experience in aesthetics began in 2017, and her commitment to continued education remains at the core of her practice. She has trained with internationally recognized experts including Raj Acquilla, Sebastian Cotofana, Mauricio De Maio, Steven Yoelin, Leslie Fletcher, Julie Bass Kaplan, Jonathan Sykes and many others, continuously pursuing the latest advancements in facial anatomy, injectable safety, regenerative aesthetics and skin longevity. As Clinical Director, Katie is deeply passionate about bringing innovative, science-backed treatments to her clients while maintaining an approach that feels natural, balanced and never overdone. She believes aesthetics are a pillar of wellness — and that harmony is created when we look the way we feel. Known for her calm, compassionate presence, Katie prioritizes education and collaboration throughout the treatment process, ensuring every client feels informed, comfortable and genuinely cared for from start to finish.
