Co-founded by a brand designer and a medical aesthetics expert—both passionate about blending art and science—Contour was born from a shared desire to bring the refinement and innovation of Beverly Hills to Denver.
After over a decade in Los Angeles, CEO Ainsley Ellington returned home to Colorado with a vision: to offer the kind of transformative, high-caliber care she experienced alongside world-class practitioners. Her search for the perfect clinical partner led her to Katie Averson, a Nurse Practitioner whose precision, skill, and artistry mirrored the very best. And from there, Contour Collection was born.

Katie's experience in aesthetics began in 2017 and she is just getting started. She has had the privilege of training with renowned experts such as Dr. Raj Acquilla, Prof. Sebastian Cotofana, Dr. Mauricio De Maio, Dr. Steven Yoelin, Leslie Fletcher, RN, MEP-C, Julie Bass Kaplan FNP-BC, Marty Raymond, RN, BSN, CANS, Connie Brennan, APRN, AGNP-C, and Dr. Jonathan Sykes, MD in Beverly Hills, and continues to seek out the latest techniques and research in the rapidly evolving aesthetics industry.
As Contour Collection’s Clinical Director, Katie is dedicated to bringing the latest and most innovative techniques to her clients, with a focus on improving skin health and overall longevity. Her compassionate approach to client care ensures that every client feels informed and comfortable throughout their journey. She believes aesthetics are a pillar of wellness and that harmony is achieved when we look the way that we feel.
Originally from Syracuse, New York, Katie moved to Colorado in 2008 to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, and later studied Nursing at Denver College of Nursing. She spent five years as a Registered Nurse in intensive care, urgent care, chemotherapy infusion, and aesthetics before pursuing a Master's in Nursing at Regis University. Prior to co-founding Contour Collection, Katie served as a board certified nurse practitioner and Clinic Manager at The Little Clinic, where she practiced Primary Care. Her commitment to evidence-based practices and scientific principles and obsession with the latest cutting edge scientific advancements ensures that her aesthetic techniques are up to date and grounded in solid medical knowledge.
